In this role, the Regional HR Manager will work with closely with cross functional business groups, leadership, and field personal within several manufacturing facilities located in the Northeast Region. (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, New Jersey Maryland, North Caroling and Maryland.)

This Regional HR role has focus on the development of regional strategy and tactics which will support businesses goals. organizational development, and strong focus on cultivating an engaging culture and positive employee experience.


Manufacturing Organizational and Talent Development

* Partner with regional business leaders to identify and prioritize key organizational capabilities, behaviors and processes needed to achieve business results.
* Develop tools to assess skill competency, conduct workforce planning, develop succession planning strategies, and create robust development / cross functional opportunities for plant personnel
* Work with regional and business leadership to ensure appropriate funding for organizational & talent development.

Culture development and HR function leadership

* Works with manufacturing plants and leadership to understand HR KPI key drivers and opportunity for continuous improvement to achieve business results.
* Develop robust sourcing and recruiting plans for plant locations. (Hourly, Salary and Contingent workforce)
* Improve, create and/ or implement streamlined and candidate focused on-boarding best practices Collaborates with businesses to develop a region specific temporary workforce program
* Works across businesses and HR to create and implement performance management systems and processes. (i.e. annual reviews, one-on-one coaching, streamlined investigation templates, and progressive behavior management programs)
* Support cross plant training, optimal processing efficiency, and business continuity support for operational HR duties (payroll, month end reporting, vacation coverage etc.) within the Region.
* Work with Corporate Total Rewards and Compensation team on wage and benefit structures within the region, competitive analysis/ job banding, skill and comp progression structure, and on-going market wage analysis.
* Lead, support, and work with the Regional HR Group to develop short and long-range objectives, challenging goals, workload balancing initiatives to ensure an engaged, agile and business impactful HR team within the region.
* Identifies administrative non-value add HR work and collaborates with corporate or business leaders to automate, streamline or eliminate duties that add cost but no business, customer or employee value.

Safety/Incident Prevention, Process Development, and Management:

* Ensures region wide proficiency and execution of Safety and employee absence programs… including FMLA, STD, LTD, workers' compensation
* Advise and coach plant teams on resources to support training and skill development by supporting the integration of the Saint Gobain North America EHS Training Matrix
* Collaborate with plants and field employee organizations to integrate Health and Safety behaviors and program participation into everyday processes and mindsets.


* BA/BS in related field.
* 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
* 5+ years' experience working in a manufacturing or high volume distribution operations setting.
* Experience in cultural, organizational performance, and talent development.
* Experience with Staffing and Workforce Planning (short and long-term).
* Experience in Safety and Workers Comp as well as experience/exposure to OSHA requirements.
* Experience working within a union and non-union setting.
* Must be able to flex hours in order to support 24-7 operations.
* Must be available to travel domestically to plant locations approximately 35% of the time
