Project Manager / Scrum Master (Job Number:430096)



The successful candidate will provide effective leadership, collaboration, and facilitation supporting the agile development delivery of application. He/She will also support the project leadership team in day-to-day project management activities on a large systems integration and application development project with a Federal government agency.

Job Responsibilities:
- Act as liason between customer, CIO, and development teams
- Support the development manager and project leads as necessary
- Deliver timely status and updates customer leads.
- Support Agile based SDLC for software development creating necessary standards, tools and best practices.
- Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meeting
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
- Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice
- Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs
- Improve the productivity of the sprint teams

- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years' related experience.
- Must have at least 1 years of experience using Agile methodology
- Must have exceptional communication, organization, reporting and time management skills
- Must be collaborative in driving decisions Ability to understand technical issues
- Ability to prioritize and handle changing deadlines
- Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to hold team members accountable, set clear sprint performance standards, resolve sprint performance issues, keep team engaged and on task
- Results Driven (Prioritizing, Taking Initiative, Taking Ownership) Team Leadership (Demonstrating Teamwork, Influencing Others, Interacting with Others, Maintaining Composure, Motivating Others, Providing Direction and Leadership, Dealing with Stress)
- Must have or obtain a Certified Scrum Master and have 1+ years of experience in an Agile development project
- Previous software development experience with Java and J2EE web- based applications
- Experience working with agile methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects for a large enterprise
- Experience with Rally as an tracking tool is a plus
- Understand Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams in a fast paced environment
- All qualified candidates must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
