Manager, Business Development (Job Number:430280)


Within the Army Customer Group/Army Network Operations, be a thought leader, ready to assist in developing strategies for growth and identifying new market opportunities. Represent the company to vendors and teaming partners, making strategic assessments on capabilities and establishing risk/reward matrices for every unique opportunity capture. Be a point of contact to the government client on proposals, and works for the Account Manager as a dedicated -client representative'.

Lead multiple SAIC capture and business development activities for Fort Huachuca customers and clients related to engineering, system engineering, and Cyber, Cloud, Data Science, and Enterprise IT markets focusing on adjacent market penetration leveraging existing capabilities. Will lead NETCOM, ISEC, and potentially other accounts in activities such as account planning, prioritization, pipeline development, key capture activities and innovative technical solution development, competitive pricing, price-to-win and brief leadership with regular gate reviews and decision points.

Assist the SAIC Program Manager (PM) with overall TEIS-III with programmatic issues and assisting with the interface with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), government management personnel, agency representatives and is authorized to negotiate and make decisions binding on SAIC. In addition, will assist with:

- Overseeing the TEIS-III portfolio of programs across a matrixed organization to include program execution oversight,

- Performing to support financial goals and reporting requirements of a publicly traded, audited defense contractor

- Team-building and influencing outcomes by the ability to motivating performance and establishing coalitions across a matrixed organized where many team members report to other line managers

- Retain, hire and support training of current and new employees to include project managers and technical experts in all relevant technical areas across the TEIS-III program portfolio

Assist SAIC/Army Customer Group with mentor/protégé engagements as necessary.


Education and Experience:

- Must have a BS Degree.

- Must have 15+ years of experience in systems development and systems engineering, as applicable to the task, in one or more of the following areas:

- Communications, Command, and Control

- Aviation electronics

- Data and information processing

- Modeling and simulation

- IT Service Management

- Network Convergence

- Operations, Maintenance, & Defense of the US Army Networks

- Information assurance and information operations

- Network and system management
