Master Scheduler (Job Number:430072)

Description:



Job Description Systems Engineering tasks to assist NSWC Crane in establishing and maintaining sound, documented program management practices meeting program requirements while optimizing performance and resource conflicts. The Scheduler will take the lead to develop, plan, track, analyze and report on the project schedules of varying size and complexity

This position will involve the following:

-Development of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Microsoft Project for the entire portfolio which includes project deliverables, program milestones, and level three tasking

-Resource load the Integrated Master Schedule and deliver an analysis of the primary and secondary critical paths, the resource constraints and conflicts, recommendations for how to resolve the identified resource constraints and conflicts.

-Meet with team personnel to gather existing schedules, current status, review key milestones and events, assist with adding fidelity to tasks for a minimum of a level 3 IMS, and converting to a standard format which can be easily merged into the division level schedule.

-Support development of presentation material in support of program reviews and customer requests for project status.

-Perform resource scheduling and conflict analysis with project teams to analyze alignment of planned work and ability to meet deliverable.

-Provide a current status level zero for use as a day to day management tool providing insight into who is currently working what task, upcoming deliverables/milestones, and which tasks are on the critical path.

-Support development of "what if" scenarios based on potential new work.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience - High school and 10+ years of experience can used in lieu of degree.
