Job Description:

Work with a team of software developers providing new software solutions and enhancements for an existing Aircraft Maintenance and Logistics system for NASA's Aircraft Centers, and any of NASA/JSC's Aircraft Operations Divisions (AOD) software applications as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position supports software development and maintenance efforts for NASA's Aircraft Centers, and NASA/JSC's Aircraft Operations Division (AOD). A successful candidate will provide ASP.NET MVC, VB.NET, LINQ, AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery, CSS, IIS, and SQL Server programming support and work with an existing small group of programmers to complete various programming projects. We are looking for someone to provide new ideas and approaches while staying within the NASA/JSC infrastructure and requirements.

We are a Microsoft solutions shop and utilize MSDN licenses for most of our development tools. As part of a small group of programmers, this position will support all phases of software engineering including but not limited to programming, documentation, requirements gathering, design, implementation, user support. Additional areas of support may include data management, permission maintenance, and configuration management.

This position requires interfacing with other developers, server system administrators, tech support personnel, customers, and NASA management. We need someone who is knowledgeable, confident, willing to learn, and personable. A successful candidate will work well with others and be willing to collaborate.

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- 0-1 years working knowledge in developing web based solutions with Microsoft .NET Entity framework and C#.
- Working knowledge with using SQL Server database for back-end data storage and creating dynamic, data driven web pages (stored procedures, triggers, etc).
- Experience with Microsoft desktop applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Good verbal and written communication skills a must.
- Having a "customer-service" attitude.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Team Foundation source control system.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.
- Knowledge in WinForms development

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
