Logistics Principal - IPS Technical Support (Job Number:429236)

SAIC has an opening for an Integrated Product Support (IPS) professional located in Huntsville, AL, to provide technical support for logistics IPS tasks. The candidate should possess expertise in the design, integration, and operations of cellular phone systems. Knowledge and experience with DOD 5000 (series) is required to provide a common basis for logistics lifecycle management of systems, during acquisition programs for military electronic systems and equipment. Of particular interest are worldwide 3G - 4G LTE, Wi- Fi, and Line of Site networks. The Systems Engineer should have an understanding of how 3GPP standards are currently implemented. Knowledge in performing wireless site surveys, working with multiple network interface types, sustainment expansion on operational wireless networks, commercial encryption standards, DOD wireless security requirements, SMS, MMS, and network configurations are required. The candidate should possess working knowledge and firm understanding of DoD 5000 acquisition and logistics issues as equipment is reviewed for life cycle management and sustainment. Also helpful are skills in the reliability prediction of electronic equipment of (MIL-HDBK-217F) for the use and to establish and maintain consistent and uniform methods for estimating the inherent reliability (Le., the reliability of a mature design) of military electronic equipment and systems. Candidate should have experience (s) in the use of Integrated Product Support (ILS) techniques (AR 700-142 and DA Pam 700-142), Type Classification processes (AR 700-127) and functions/requirements for item inclusion into the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program (AESIP).

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of current or recent experience providing systems engineering support on DoD 5000 programs

-
Detailed knowledge and experience across the systems engineering lifecycle from needs and CONOPS assessment through system modeling, requirements development, architecture, design support, testing, and systems validation

-
Demonstrated experience in process establishment and improvement for engineering development.

-
Demonstrated experience producing and reviewing conceptual and logical data models and incorporating them into holistic architectural representations supporting tests results, evaluations and reports.

-
Previous experience performing analysis and producing documentation revealing the interdependencies between systems, processes, technologies, applications and data.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines (e.g. IPS elements) to ensure requirements are met and to avoid requirements creep

Demonstrated capability in Human- machine Interface Design, including customer elicitation, prototyping, and fabrication (human engineering- MIL-STD-46855, MIL-STD-1372, MIL- HDBK-759C)

Superior communication (presentation, speaking, and writing) skill sets
