GEOINT Systems Engineer (Job Number:429025)

Description:


SAIC is seeking a GEOINT Systems Engineer opportunity in Springfield, VA.

Support the planning, execution and coordination of the electro-optical analysis of alternatives (EO AoA) and subsequent architecture selection. Support the detailed user requirements elicitation, CONOPS development, and formal Statement of Capabilities (SOC) creation and coordination.

Job Duties:

- Support the overall management of the AoA effort
- Coordinate Senior Steering Group (SSG) agendas and draft presentations for AoA leadership Coordinate with the National Geospatial Intelligence Committee (GEOCOM) staff for monthly presentations
- Manage action items
- Develop draft communications between the AoA and senior leaders
- Support technical and cost assessments to include screening alternatives
- Coordinate thresholds for architectural drivers to ensure appropriate trade space is considered
- Assess early parametric cost estimates for consistency and accuracy
- Document rationale for architectures deemed to be deficient
- Manage meeting agendas
- Draft weekly progress updates
- Review analysis from multiple sources to assess capability and overall performance of similar architectures to identify strengths, weaknesses, and architectural drivers
- Working with existing user forums, elicit requirements and associated priorities from the broad user base
- Formulate system requirements for future acquisition(s)
- Define Measures of Performance that provide discrimination among candidate architectures Draft Statement of Capabilities (SOC) for coordination with user groups and senior leadership
- Initiate SOC coordination and disposition comments
- Draft integrated mission CONOPS and coordinate with stakeholders
- Manage AoA and other activities' MS Project schedules

Qualifications:

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

- Clearance Level Must Possess: TS/SCI with Poly
- Clearance Level Must be able to Obtain: TS/SCI with Poly

Requirements:

- BS/BA in related field
- Minimum 10 years' experience with space-based imaging systems
- Understanding of current and planned NRO GEOINT systems
- Familiarity with IC and DoD organizations
- Familiarity with GEOINT system capabilities and requirements, both current and planned systems Self-starter, requiring no supervision
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Available immediately
- Active TS/SCI clearance

Desired Skills:

- Experience in leading comparable AoA activities and/or capability-based assessments
- Familiarity with commercial imaging systems, products, tasking methods
- Familiarity with NRO and NGA major systems acquisition processes
