GV Test Engineer - Sterling Heights, MI (Job Number:429074)

Description:



SAIC has a contingent job opportunity for a GV Test Engineer to support an ARMY customer in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The GV Test Engineer develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure that all ground combat vehicle systems, products, and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. Develops test plans, test schedule, and approaches. Performs verification activities on work products using defined methods, procedures and criteria within appropriate verification environments. Documents and communicates test results. Supports analysis of test results and resolution of open issues. Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Creates daily test metrics and reporting. Occasionally performs other engineering activities, such as requirements, design, installation, operation, sustainment, and support. Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors and nine (9) years or more of related experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more of related experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more of related experience.

Required Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of ground combat vehicle systems engineering.
- Demonstrated strong working knowledge of the product life-cycle design, development, production, and sustainment of physical products.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work across functional boundaries and build a team are required.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and delegate
- Ability to effectively represent the company / program
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage interpersonal relations and conflicts
- Ability to use objectivity, creativity, and analytical ability to solve problems
