Military Operations Analyst Training (Job Number:429019)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

All candidates must possess and maintain a TOP SECRET with SCI. SAIC currently has an opening in the Colorado Springs area for a Military Operations Analysts to provide a range of support to U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) and Army Strategic Forces Command (ARSTRAT) for the 1st Space Brigade. The Analyst team provides the 1st Space Brigade with current and relevant technical expertise which is critical to the continuity of the Brigade's mission area. The Brigade S3 (Operations) Section, requires support to maintain high Operational Tempo (OPTEMPO) operations and to endure the continual military turn-over in a highly specialized area. The activation of additional mission detachments and the fielding of additional systems/capabilities is increasing the demand and OPTEMPO of current and future operations. This teams technical knowledge to plan, train, resource, evaluate, and operationally support this continually evolving mission area is critical to SMDC/ARSTRAT and the Brigade's mission success.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS:

Three years of relevant SATCOM experience in a DoD environment

Possess both breadth and depth of DOD SATCOM knowledge and experience

Proficient in SATCOM planning and operations

Experience with SATCOM equipment

Operational experience with the Mobile Integrated Ground Suite (MIGS)

Knowledge of satellite signal flow

Plan and conduct training events for military operators on SATCOM equipment

Knowledge of Army TRADOC Standard Training procedures

Develop and utilize Training and Evaluation Outlines

Develop training documents and scripts to support training and exercises.

Monitor students technical and professional performance, and correct deficiencies

Assist with training events and exercises in CONUS or OCONUS locations

Work closely with Military team members to coordinate training and certification requirements

Ability to work with little to no supervision

Must be able to perform shift work as needed to support training requirements

Excellent written and oral communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of Army evaluation standards is preferred

Experience with USASMDC/ARSTRAT 1st Space Brigade SATCOM support

Experience with spectrum monitoring

Mobile or tactical SATCOM experience

Proficiency with Microsoft office products
