Special Operations Forces Technical Expert for Targeting (Job Number:428432)


Job Description:

Special Operations Forces Technical Expert for Targeting Serves as a Technical Expert for Intelligence Targeting in support of a Theater Special Operations Command in the European Command Area of Responsibility. Provides Knowledge Management support for all- source intelligence targeting. Manipulates information systems, tools and military processes and procedures for the integration/fusion of multiple sources of information. The technical expert will utilize classified information sharing portals to have information readily accessible to SOCEUR and external stakeholders. Works individually and as a member of a team to prepare targeting products to include briefings, reports and databases. Coordinates and interacts with counterpart staff from services, components, DoD, and national-level intelligence agencies. Represents the organization at working groups, meetings, conferences, and seminars. Must have ability and willingness to travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations to gather data for the performance of the above tasks. Travel requirements are expected to be approximately 10% annually. Must be able to obtain Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA/SOFA) status.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree with 13 years' experience (military or relevant civilian experience) or 17 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Qualifications:

Experience providing all-source research, analysis and intelligence analytical products for CT planning and operations.

Must have expert knowledge of Planning, Intelligence, Collection Management, and Targeting Cycle.

Desired Skills:

Post 9/11 experience in the USEUCOM area of responsibility.

3+ years' experience working in support of US SOF or SOF qualified is preferred.

Able to communicate fluently in a USEUCOM regional language is preferred.

Clearance Requirement:

Requires TS/SCI clearance.
