Job Description:

Special Operations Forces (SOF) Technical Expert for Security Cooperation Serves as a Technical Expert for Security Cooperation in support of a Theater Special Operations Command in the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility. Provides Knowledge Management Technical Expert support for security cooperation. Responsible for developing and managing Security Cooperation Concepts, Plans, Orders, Integrated Master Schedules, resource proposals, databases and other deliverables as required. Manipulates information systems tools and military processes and procedures for the integration/fusion of multiple sources of information. The technical expert will utilize information sharing portals to have information readily accessible to SOCEUR and external stakeholders. Provides Flag Officer/ General Officer level information papers; position papers; briefings; and talking points. Integrates key planning and operational documents with the USEUCOM, USSOCOM and Service Component Staff equivalents. Works with Interagency and DoD working groups, conferences, and Joint Planning Groups. Must have ability and willingness to travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations to gather data for the performance of the above tasks. Travel requirements are expected to be approximately 10-20% annually. Must be able to obtain Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA/SOFA) status.

Qualifications:


REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 14 years of experience. Experience (4+ years) may be used in lieu of degree.

Required Qualifications:

-
Must be a graduate of a Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) approved course of instruction for Security Cooperation Management.

-
Retired U.S. Military Officer or Senior NCO. Must have post 9/11 active duty experience working in a regional Combatant Command or USSOCOM HQs and or component command/unit.

-
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in different phases while working independently or as a leader of a group.

-
Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

-
Service and experience in Special Operations Command, Europe (SOCEUR) or in the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility is preferred.

Clearance Requirement:

-
Must have an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
