Advanced Programs Operational Acquisition Support Specialist (Job Number:428404)



SAIC has an opportunity for an Advanced Operational Acquisition Support Specialist supporting Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) A5/8Z with Advanced Programs Support. The successful applicant will support the integration of advanced program concepts and technology as well as coordinate and integrates resource priorities across the Special Access Program (SAP) portfolio to shape Combat Air Forces (CAF) programming strategy to ensure warfighter future requirements are met. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Provide analytical expertise to A5/8Z for Air Dominance "kill chain" analysis, concept and requirements generation, and test and tactics development planning

- Provide advice and assistance to develop concepts for Homeland Defense, Global Persistent Attack, Global Strike, and associated mission area plans

- Advise and assist with development and operational support of tactical data link architectures (i.e., Link-16, Multifunction Advanced Data Link) and associated technologies

- Assist with drafting, review, and implementation of procedures, policy systems, capability definition and requirement documents, and guidance for new tactical data link architectures

- Regularly interface with the Joint Staff, Air Staff, MAJCOMs, NAFs, OSD, AF TENCAP, FFRDCs, and other Government organizations when performing duties associated with A5/8Z

- Assist with identification of interoperability and compatibility requirements to ensure customer programs are properly and securely integrated into current and next generation tactical data link architectures

- Plan, coordinate, and attend A5/8Z official functions and conferences - approximately six (6) per year

- Represent A5/8Z at CAF requirements meeting and other SAP planning meetings


- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.


- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

- Clearance Level To Obtain: TS/SCI with Poly


- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering with 10 years of experience in USAF acquisition disciplines including requirements analysis and implementation, risk management, technology insertion, acquisition strategy development/documentation, budget development, site logistics planning, and scheduling

- Five (5) years of detailed working knowledge of integrated fire control concepts of operation across the joint spectrum of operation

- Five (5) years of operational application of stealth, airborne fire control radars, air defense systems, information operations, and associated network architectures

- Five (5) years of technical theory of tactical data-links, airborne communication and computing architectures, and information exchange requirements

- Five (5) years of technical theory of radar detection and tracking and integration with other platform sensors

- Familiarity with mission planning and training systems for aircraft

- Four (4) years of SAP experience required
