Advanced Programs Requirements Planning Specialist (Job Number:428402)



SAIC has an opportunity for a Requirements Planning Specialist supporting Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) A5/8Z with Advanced Programs Support. The successful applicant will support the integration of advanced program concepts and technology as well as coordinate and integrates resource priorities across the Special Access Program (SAP) portfolio to shape Combat Air Forces (CAF) programming strategy to ensure warfighter future requirements are met. Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Serve as the technical focal point for supporting requirements planning for SAPs in A5/8Z

- Provide operational, technical and analytical assistance to document Joint Capability Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) and other MAJCOM and Special Access Requirements

- Assist in the drafting, review, and implementation of procedures, policy, systems capability definition and requirement documents, and guidance for incorporation into ACC operations

- Regularly interface with the Joint Staff, Air Staff, MAJCOMs, NAFs, OSD, AF TENCAP, Federally Funded Research and Development Corporations (FFRDCs), and other Government organizations when performing duties associated with A5/8Z

- Provide advice and assistance to leadership in the areas of mission need and requirements analysis, concept of operations development; program tradeoff analysis, and program roadmap creation that includes technology insertion, platform integration, and support planning

- Support and advice regarding security integration of weapon systems to meet warfighter needs

- Plan, coordinate, and attend functions and conferences - approximately six (6) per year

- Represent A5/8Z at CAF requirements meeting and other SAP planning meetings

- Regularly interface with acquisition, budget, and test communities to enable program execution

- Position requires up to 20% travel to CONUS/OCONUS areas


- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.


- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

- Clearance Level To Obtain: TS/SCI with Poly


- Must possess a Bachelor's degree with 12 years' experience in DoD fighter operations

- Previous rated pilot or Weapons System Officer in an DoD fighter aircraft with a minimum of 5 years Instructor Pilot/Instructor Weapons System Officer

- Four (4) years of experience in DoD acquisition disciplines including requirements analysis, Program Objective Memorandum (POM) Development, and logistics planning

- Four (4) years of SAP experience required
