TACNET Fleet Services Network Engineer Lead WC (Job Number:424285)


SAIC is seeking a TACNET Fleet Services Engineer Lead WC in San Diego, CA.


- Responsible for leading a team of 12-20 Network Engineers that are required to provide break/fix and installation support for the US Navy.

- Provide network support to some of the following CANES, ISNS, ADNS, CENTRIXS, and SCI Networks.

- Provide day to day tasking in a fast paced technology driven environment.

- Challenge and develop junior engineers with increasingly more difficult tasking while at the same time meeting the customer's needs.

- Conduct regular employee reviews and assist in all staffing decisions.

- Analyze team member's performance and provide critical real time feedback.

- Conduct regular employee reviews and assist in all staffing decisions.

- Additionally, the candidate will plan, scope, and assign resources to support onboard break/fix activities, both local and abroad.

- Produce defend cost estimates for onboard technical visits.

- Interface with both government and active duty customers in an effort to facilitate continuous process improvement.

- Drive exposure and identify learning opportunities of new network products.

- Review trip reports and other high-standard deliverables, following company methodology (in some cases defining the methodology and guidelines).

- Drive creative programmatic solutions to provide world-class customer support in a truly global environment.

- Coordinate proactive network grooms and subsystem integrations efforts by interfacing with external government customers.

- Assist in analytical root-cause analysis and recommend design changes as appropriate.

- Build team knowledge capabilities and professional development, focusing on innovations and opportunities for efficiency gains.

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelors and five (5) years of related experience or 9 years of related experience.

- Active DOD Secret clearances. Higher clearances accepted.

- CompTIA Security+ and CCNA Routing/Switching/Security

- Must be able to travel 5 - 10% of the time.

- Experience with ISNS or CANES or SCI or CENTRIXS or ADNS and all associated installed applications.
