Job Description

Overview

This internship will assist with research for our annual Washington Information Directory (WID). WID is the definitive resource for locating information on governmental and nongovernmental organizations in the national capital region.

This internship is paid, part time (18-20 hours per week during normal office hours). This internship is scheduled to start in late January 2020 and conclude in early April 2020. Candidates MUST be current students able to work out of our office in Washington, DC or our office in Thousand Oaks, CA (remote work is not permitted).

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Calling Congressional, gubernatorial, embassy offices, federal organizations, and nongovernmental organizations to verify information
* Online research, data entry, and other research or administrative duties as required.

Qualifications & Education

Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

* Must be a current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university.
* Must have a good phone manner.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word.
* A quick learner and carry a strong attention
