The Jack Welch College of Business at Sacred Heart University is seeking to hire adjunct entrepreneurs who have run or are currently running their own business (service or product related). Interested adjunct faculty will teach the Welch College of Business' "Introduction to Business" first year course. Students in this course learn the foundations of entrepreneurship and business management. Students are required to identify business opportunities and work in teams to create a product or service. Business plans, marketing, and financing the business are be covered. Business focused oral and written communication skills are analyzed and practiced. As a requirement of the course students are expected to develop their conceptual business ideas which are presented in a "shark tank" style competition within each class and a final college wide round of formal presentations by teams.

The Jack Welch College of Business is AACSB-accredited and offers degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Economics, Finance, Marketing and Sport Management. The Welch MBA, in addition to being offered in Fairfield, is offered at our Luxembourg campus. A "normal" teaching assignment includes evening course. It is anticipated that the position may also require online or hybrid teaching.

Requirements:

We seek candidates with excellent teaching and entrepreneurial records at the Undergraduate level. Applicants should hold a Master's degree in any of the related business fields.
