Summary

The Principal Product Manager (Data) is responsible for overseeing the data products that enable Sabre customers to manage their business, capture value from their business models and effectively serve the traveler. Data management and the insights gleaned from the data generated by the Sabre Travel Marketplace are key inputs to the decisions made by Sabre customers. Responsibilities will span across all aspects of the Sabre Travel Marketplace. 

  • Participate in all phases of the product life cycle and acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a consulting basis on multiple projects for all agency data and analytics matters
  • Literally put yourself in the place of customers to understand their decision making needs and how Sabre Travel Network data can provide insights
  • Define and evaluate product strategies to grow Sabre’s data and analytics solutions with focus on Travel Network solutions for travel agencies
  • Define solutions and deliver new or existing products based upon the strategy and business needs as defined by Revenue Optimization Solutions Marketing
  • Provide direction to and ensure development meets market requirements; manage product release schedule and prioritize opportunities; manage the annual investment plan (including capitalized investment, maintenance, etc…)
  • Assess market position and potential offerings, including bench marking competitive market offerings with current Sabre solutions, prototyping, defining new business models for solutions, estimating labor and investments for development of solution and/or evaluating opportunities with external vendors/partners

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing data and analytics products, applying data and analytics techniques to solving business problems and software or system product management
  • Experience synthesizing information and business challenges from internal and external sources to define data and analytics product offerings, evaluating identified product and solution opportunities to determine market viability and developing business cases to support proposed product investments 
  • Willingness to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Sabre Travel Network data, data sources and delivery methods for agencies

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences (sales, customers, executives) as well as translate customer and market data into technical requirements documents

  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment to deliver results

  • Travel or agency experience preferred but not critical
