Position: Civil Engineering Technician (Summer Intern)

Littlejohn, an S&ME company, is a leading, multi-disciplined professional services planning and engineering firm that responds to their clients with innovative, sustainable solutions. Littlejohn is seeking full-time Civil Engineering Intern for the summer of 2017 in our Nashville, Tennessee location. The selected candidate will join a successful office in support of public and private sector projects throughout Tennessee and surrounding states.
The full-time intern will work under the supervision of a Project Manager in a team environment and will be responsible for assisting in the support of field activities, performing engineering calculations/design, collecting and analyzing data, and the preparation of site civil construction documents and related tasks. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, and possess the ability to work as a team player.
* Enrolled in a B.S. in Civil Engineering degree program required; students who've completed at least their first two (2) years preferred;
* Experience in Microsoft and AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred;
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions;
* At least 18 years of age
This is a full-time, internship position for the period of May 2017 through August 2017 with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
