Position Description

As part of the Ryder team the Transportation Management Intern will be working in a very dynamic environment across multiple functional groups within the organization. Interns will be responsible for identifying areas for continual improvement to streamline processes and reduce costs, as well as drive increased systemic solutions.


* Must have completed at least one (1) semester of college or university curriculum and be currently enrolled toward a degree in business or logistics


In addition, the candidate must possess the following:

* Demonstrate a sense of urgency consistently and the ability to dynamically manage priorities
* Be meticulous and accurate, with a strong attention to detail
* Ability to display confidence in learning new systems and processes quickly and establishing a strong customer rapport


* Other responsibilities include cross training at the account and functional area level, and maintaining metrics and processes
