Job Description

Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is currently seeking a Management Assistant for the Office of Clinical Affairs. Provides a wide variety of administrative and professional management support services. Coordinates office operations and also provides a supportive role to the Dean, Director of Clinics, and other managers.

* Oversees the maintenance of department records and ensures that files and record-keeping systems meet the needs of the department, including computerized file listing.
* Composes business correspondence; responsible for preparing and developing reports for presentation that may include spreadsheets, charts, graphs, or tables.
* Develops office procedures, establishes standards and organizes the workflow of the office; recommends improvements for effective and efficient office procedures.
* Acts as principal liaison between the department and other administrative personnel; responsible for timely follow-up and resolution of problems and questions.
* Greets visitors to the office, answers telephones, sorts incoming mail, maintains appointment calendar for Associate Dean, and maintains inventory of office supplies.
* Maintains junior and senior dental student attendance records and locker assignments.
* Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards.
