Job Description

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Dean III Supervisor for the SAS - Honors Program. This position is under the direction of the Administrative Director of the SAS Honors Program and the Honors Program Academic Dean. The Assistant Dean III Supervisor provides one-on-one academic, career, and personal advising to students in the SAS Honors Program, with a particular focus on completion of the Honors Program requirements. This position provides first-level support and specialized academic advising to the assigned caseload.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
* Manages the day-to-day Honors Program (HP) operations on the College Avenue Campus, and collaborates with the other campus-based Honors Program deans to meet program goals.
* Implements, administers, supervises, maintains, and enhances programs and activities offered through the Honors Program.
* Works closely with the Dean and the Administrative Director on all matters connected with admissions: outreach, recruitment, selection, and Scholars Days.
* Leads the incoming student summer registration and advising process including honors programming for APA Days, sectioning, and scheduling.
* Coordinates with the registrar, scheduling office, honors counterparts in other units, and other university units to implement the annual first-year scheduling process.
* Establishes and implements all policies and procedures for the Tutoring Program, and of recruitment, selection and training for tutors and Tutor Coordinators.
* Responsible for all aspects of the SASHP Tutoring Program: collaborates with the Learning Resource Center for training and space for prospective tutors.
* Acts as liaison with faculty, staff, and university offices; Assists as needed with projects coordinated by other Honors Program staff, such as Honors Ambassadors, Peer Mentors, Faculty Mentors, Summer Reading Program, Artists Collective, Honors Alumni, etc.
* Supervises one Administrative Assistant who supports the College Ave Campus portfolio and assists with broader SASHP projects
