Job Description:

Our full-time summer internship program starts in May or June and requires a 10 to 12 week commitment. The purpose of this summer intern position is to provide support to the Client Strategy & Research team serving Russell Investments' institutional clients. This will be accomplished by delivering analytical support as a member of an experienced team of actuaries, strategists and thought leaders for defined benefit and endowment/foundation clients. This position is responsible for asset-liability and asset allocation projects, including risk analysis, DB funded status reporting, and preparation of client presentation materials. This role will be located in our Seattle office.

The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:

* Maintain and run Russell Investments' risk analysis tools and develop client-ready presentation materials.
* Validate and run quarterly asset-liability reporting.
* Assist team members in a variety of projects to develop asset allocation thought leadership for DB and non-profit asset allocation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investment/Actuarial, Mathematics or related area required. Must be enrolled in a graduate program, progress towards CFA a plus.
* Investment-related experience preferred (either prior internship or full-time) such as market/economic impacts, investment analysis, or other related financial area.
* High energy; strong level of initiative; highly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
* Computer proficiency including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Strong verbal and written communication/relationship skills
* Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
