Job Description

Description: Roseville Area Schools Department of Student Services has a vacancy for a Third Party Billing and Finance Specialist. The primary functions of this position are to establish and maintain Third Party Billing information, forms, processes and files for the purposes of obtaining reimbursements for services received by students; to support, monitor and maintain balanced, up-to-date financial records and transactions of the Student Services Department within the UFARS, Uniform Guidance and EDRS guidelines. This position works 40 hours per week, 12 months of the year beginning March 2019.

Areas of Responsibility:

* Communicates with district staff to gather and report information related to Third Party Billing, including training of staff.
* Works within MN Department of Human Services and MN Department of Education guidelines in the processing of Third Party medical billing in coordination with the district's third party billing agent.
* Identifies and communicates with IEP service providers and gathers information and supporting documentation as required for correct submission.
* Attends Metro area Third Party Billing meetings.
* Maintains accurate records and resource databases for District and Nonpublic Health Services; Nonpublic Textbooks and Guidance; Third Party Billing; Tuition Billing, Equipment & various federal, state and county grants.
* Maintains bookkeeping records (budget, billing, verifications, refunds, payments, etc.).
* Uses a standardized information processing system to generate reports, records or other documents (e.g., Skyward, Student Plans, Synergy, Excel)
* Prepares required reports for federal, state and county grants and district auditors.
* Balances/reconciles financial records.
* Prepares and enters applicable purchase orders.
* Communicates with nonpublic schools within our district to gather and report information related to nonpublic textbook funds.
* Reports, updates and monitors expenditure data in the state's Electronic Data Reporting System (EDRS).
* Maintains accurate inventory of equipment purchased.
* Prepares and updates processes and procedures for special education procurement of materials and equipment in accordance with federal requirements, and communicates with staff about these procedures.

Salary and Benefits: Minimum salary $46,648 - $88,000 dependent on education and experience, plus a generous contribution towards insurance and other benefits.
