Roselle Advertisement For Interim School Business Administrator/Board Secretary

Submissions Due February 16, 2018

The Roselle Public Schools seeks an exceptional leader with a commitment to managing a highly effective financial and operational environment to serve as the Interim School Business Administrator/Board Secretary. The Roselle Public Schools serves 2,800 students in grades PreK-12 in eight (8) buildings. The Roselle Public Schools seeks a leader with a solid understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and GAAP requirements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree required; Master's degree required from an accredited college, preferably in Business or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Standard New Jersey School Business Administrator certificate required
  • 5-7 years of experience in a New Jersey K-12 district as a School Business Administrator required
  • Qualified Purchasing Agent preferred
  • A thorough understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles established by the GASB, school budget preparation and internal control systems
  • Experience implementing systems and processes to support the successful operation of an urban school district
  • A thorough understanding of federal regulations for administration of federal grant programs, experience with grant writing and/or grant implementation a plus
  • A valid driver's license as well as current insurance and vehicle with valid registration
  • Required criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
