Duration: 3+ Months

Schedule: Shift 1; M-F

Description:

Client Building Technologies Division is the North American market leader for safe and secure, energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly buildings and infrastructure. As a technology partner, service provider, and system integrator, Building Technologies has offerings for fire protection; life safety; and security as well as building automation; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); and energy management. Since 1995, Client has helped to modernize nearly 7,000 buildings worldwide, including important American landmarks such as World Trade Center Memorial, Times Square Building, Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney World and the Mount Vernon Estate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Drafts company procedures based on meeting with and obtaining information from internal subject matter experts. Writes descriptions of the steps and requirements of each procedure in a clear, concise, and effective way based on defined document standards and taxonomy.
* Assists with ensuring taxonomy and document standards are met, electronic library organization is maintained, and proper document review and approval has been obtained.
* Assists with proofing of documents.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Current enrollment in program to obtain a degree or certification in technical writing.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate.
* Ability to provide courteous, competent service.
* Superior composition and editing abilities.
* Ability to effectively listen, communicate, and gain credibility with others.
* Prefer current engineering student with an aptitude for digital strategy and operations.
