Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of adapting to change as well as keen problem solving skills. This position will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor. Experience within a law firm or professional services industry is helpful. This role requires significant interaction with managers and departments across the firm. The ideal candidate is flexible, enthusiastic, has a positive attitude, and is a team player who can also work independently while participating in ongoing projects within a fast paced and collaborative environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

* Ensure accurate and timely processing of domestic and international transactions
* Respond and provide support to internal and external clients
* Assist with research and payment of expense reimbursements and vendor invoices
* Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Able to quickly learn Ropes & Gray's Accounts Payable policies, procedures, and systems
* Consistently demonstrate organizational and problems solving skills
* Manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to strict deadlines
* Champion continuous improvement efforts including business process optimization
* Communicate effectively with management and employees at all levels of the organization
* Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision and to follow assignments through to their conclusions
* Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive data at all times

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

* Associate Degree in Finance/Business Management preferred or Minimum 2 years of professional office experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Required
