Job Description

The Role and Responsibilities

The Performance & Optimization team is critical to driving the success of content partners on Roku's platform. The Performance Analyst will be responsible for working with Marketing, Programming, Content Distribution, Data Science, and Product leadership to execute ROI-driven solutions for content promotion on the Roku platform. This role will also support Partner Growth Managers in quantifying each partner's value to Roku across each area of engagement, including audience development spend, buttons, ad inventory, and streaming hours. The Performance Analyst will report to the Director of Performance & Optimization and located in Los Angeles.

* Work closely with the Partner Growth Managers to grow the audience development spend of external partners, and with the Programming and Marketing teams to optimize internal marketing initiatives for The Roku Channel.
* Sign off on all performance media plans and provide internal and external forecasting of results to support those media plans.
* Provide optimization recommendations to account teams during live campaigns. Ensure we are continuously improving eCPMs and finding efficiencies.
* Provide in-depth reporting and insights during live campaigns, and in wrap-up reports and QBRs.
* Partner with DSA to design A/B testing to see beyond the metrics and understand how our users engage with promoted content.
* Parter with the Inventory Management team to report on inventory optimization/utilization and yield for audience development campaigns.
* Provide Partner Growth Managers with comprehensive reporting for Tier 1 partners, including but not limited to subscribers, churn, retention, streaming hours, promotional spend, and value of contractual commitments.
* Provide analysis and insights that help PGM's negotiate mutually beneficial content distribution, inventory sourcing, and audience development deals with top-tier partners.
* Create consolidated financial reporting, and tracking for channel performance KPIs
* Contribute to the marketing capabilities roadmap by working with the Product and Data Science teams to build external and internal tools, and automate reporting to drive the success of Roku's content partners as well as house marketing efforts.
* Partner with FP&A and other back office teams to enhance internal understanding of a Partner's value to Roku.

* Located in Santa Monica, CA


* 5+ years' experience in marketing analytics
* Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of SQL
* Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Looker
* Familiarity with pulling reporting from DFP and Salesforce
* Familiarity with digital advertising, performance marketing, and attribution terminology and metrics
* College degree
