Job Summary

Entry-level Systems Engineer responsible for Commercial Avionics systems development. Join our highly motivated team of engineers designing industry-leading integrated avionics flight decks for business, regional, and air-transport aircraft to support system engineering activities associated with Pro Line Fusion and Pro Line 21 avionics systems. The Pro Line Fusion system employs Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) architectures hosting application software performing a variety of functions: flight controls, flight management, radio tuning, and onboard maintenance. The Pro Line 21 system is a highly federated system that interfaces seamlessly with the Pro Line Fusion applications.

Job Responsibilities

The selected applicant will perform basic to medium complexity systems engineering tasks in support of ProLine 21 and ProLine Fusion avionics system development. The engineering responsibilities include capturing and defining stakeholder requirements, system interconnect/interface design, coordination with design engineering and the customer, integration testing, and customer integration support. The candidate will also be responsible for working assigned systems projects, including specific work packages for scope, cost, and schedule in accordance with established systems engineering processes.

Additional activities may include:

* Working with subsystem/domains to define and agree upon detailed requirements
* Integration of applications with IMA platform hardware/software and with the complete avionics system
* Supporting senior engineers in Engineering estimates preparation
* System testing and supporting completion of certification documentation
* Supporting system architectural modeling, performance analysis, and technical reporting

Basic Qualifications

The candidate must have a four-year engineering degree in aerospace, aviation, electrical, computer/software engineering or applicable science field. The candidate must be a self-starter, be able to multi-task, manage unplanned events, and take advantage of opportunities and events to achieve results that exceed expectations. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with engineering peers, leadership and customers. The candidate must be well organized, with excellent problem solving and decision making skills.

Internship/Coop experience in any of the following would be an advantage:

* Capturing requirements for class project design, completing the design and making engineering design presentations
* Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings for design or troubleshooting purposes
* Avionics shop experience and/or flight line operations, aircraft installation.
* Aircraft avionics simulator knowledge
* System/product interface definition, integration and test
* FAA regulations and advisory circulars, student piloting experience
* Knowledge of JAMA, DOORS, TCP/IP, partitioned operating systems, Databus Analyzers, and MS products
* Working on aircraft avionic systems
* Knowledge and understanding of Aerospace Recommended Practices (ARINC, DO-160, DO-178B, ARP-4754)
* Familiarity with the AGILE work environment. Familiarity with JIRA.

The ability to speak Mandarin would be a unique and beneficial skill that should be noted in the application response.
