Business Liaisons are responsible for providing phone support to our small business customers and prospects as well as providing backup support to our consumer customers. Business Liaisons will also work to build and deepen business relationships by uncovering financial needs, and recommending the best products, services and solutions to meet those needs. Additionally, our Liaisons will ensure the customer's needs are met by partnering with the appropriate business groups to serve the customer's banking, small business, mortgage and investment needs.

To assist the bank in meeting and exceeding expectations the CIC Business Liaison has several positional responsibilities. They include but are not limited to:

* Display a desire to build rapport and expand relationships with business customers using key behaviors and methodologies taught on the job.
* Maintain sales momentum by engaging business customers in a needs-based selling process that aids in the achievement of the bank's sales goals with an emphasis on increasing new business households, business deposit accounts and through prospecting, and referrals.
* The Business Liaison will assist in growing the number of business accounts by handling targeted callout prospect campaigns.
* Maintain and apply a thorough knowledge of the advantages of banking with Rockland Trust through the business products and services provided by the Bank.
* Act as a liaison between CIC and business partners to identify and resolve customer issues.
* Maintains responsibility for other duties, processes and procedures as may be required from time to time by management including:
* Handle incoming customer calls following established policies and procedures in an efficient and productive manner.
* Complete all training requirements on time.

A Business Liaison should have or exhibit the following characteristics and qualifications:

* Minimum of one year sales experience in a salary plus incentive environment with individual sales goals where you routinely met or exceeded defined goals and accountabilities
* Skilled in assessing customer/client needs, providing solid advice/recommendations, and building customer relationships based on mutual trust to optimize sales opportunities with new and existing customers/clients
* Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong technical skills and computer knowledge.
* A strong sales oriented personality is a must along with the ability to motivate others.
* Prior call center experience (minimum of two years) preferred.
* Thorough understanding of Rockland Trust business Products.
* Must be able to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
* High School diploma required (4 year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred).
* Proficient computer skills, use of Microsoft Office, and ability to navigate multiple systems without assistance.
* Shifts may include weekends and non-regular hours
* This position reports directly to CIC Manager.
* Candidates must complete the following courses/certificate programs
* Communication Certificate curriculum
* Professional Bankers certificate
* OMEGA Turning Service Into Sales course
* Talking business with small business course
