Analyst Programmer

Education Service Center

40 hours of paid time per week, 52 weeks per year

Program Assistant Terms and Conditions of Employment, Job Level 7 ($49,608 to $62,275 per year plus benefits)

Job Summary

We are looking for an Analyst Programmer to join our team! As an Analyst Programmer, you will perform analysis and programming duties in the development, implementation and end user support and training of information systems, databases and applications. This position works closely with the Senior Programmer and reports to the Information Systems Program Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Duties split between programming and information systems end user support and training
* End user support of a range of information systems containing student, staff, and e-provisioning data
* Design, develop, document, analyze, create, test and modify programs, data integrations, and custom databases including MS Access, and MSSQL
* Apply system-analyst techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software and system specifications
* Research, evaluate and recommend solutions and appropriate technology to meet user's needs
* Document application functionality and requirements
* Maintain programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
* Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

* Minimum of an Associate's Degree in computer programming or related information technology field in conjunction with work experience and certifications. Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
* 3+ years developer experience in MSSQL and MS Access
* Good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, VBScript and VBA
* Windows .NET Framework, including VB.Net and C#.net programming experience preferred
* Database design and administration experience
* Proficient in writing fine-tuned SQL queries, stored procedures (e.g. PL/SQL code) and working with data in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL
* Ability to recognize and resolve system related problems; work independently and make necessary decisions throughout the systems process within department guidelines
* Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the district's success
