About Rincon Valley Union School District

The Rincon Valley Union School District is committed to providing a quality rigorous and relevant education to all of our students. To ensure that we meet our goal, we have identified essential standards in kindergarten through sixth grade. Our standards focus instruction on what is important and raise student achievement by making expectations clearly to parents and students. Standards for each grade level are clearly stated in this pamphlet so you will know what your child's teacher will focus on during the coming school year. Our assessment tools provide specific information about how well your child is doing in meeting the standards. If we identify that your child is falling behind, we will meet with you to establish an intervention plan which will provide extra support in the areas where your child is having difficulty. If it becomes necessary, your support of the recommended intervention plan is essential, and this assistance will give your child every opportunity to master grade level standards that are important to his or her future success in school. Our target of having all children successfully master their grade level standards can only be accomplished if we work together. We need your involvement and support if we are truly going to make a difference in the lives of your children.
