The Physical Therapist is responsible for examination, assessment, care planning and performing physical therapy treatment. She/he will provide treatment intervention that restores bodily functions and prevents disability following injury or disease. The physical therapist delegates and monitors responsibilities assigned to support staff (RCNA, PTA, Rehab Aide, etc.) and students. She/he will participate in performance improvement activities, and in all mandatory staff education programs. Ensures charge generation as prescribed by business practice.
Requirements:
Education: have received an education, including completion of a master's degree or higher in physical therapy or determined to be equivalent, in accordance with the commissioner`s regulations. DPT preferred.
New York State License or eligible in Physical Therapy required.
Experience as a Physical Therapist in a hospital required.
Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.
