The Richmond District YMCA is hiring!

The Richmond District YMCA is a leader in Youth Development and we are looking for Afterschool Leaders to join our team. In our Afterschool program, we are intentional about fostering Achievement, Relationships and Belonging. We are a community dedicated to creating an environment that helps people feel inspired and allows them to reach their true potential. We want to empower our youth and staff to make a difference in a diverse community. We provide trainings and growth opportunities in hopes of building a successful team. Our organization values wellness and we offer free gym memberships to all employees and promote fun in all that we do!

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a creative talented professional people who are serious about providing meaningful after school opportunities for youth. We need people who are flexible, who will take the initiative, who are punctual and able to make a commitment to work throughout the entire school year. Program Leaders will incorporate a holistic approach to develop youth academically and emotionally. Ensuring that youth have a safe place to build skills, develop strong friendships, and feel like they are a part of something great!

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Passion for teaching, coaching, and mentoring 

• Preferred education in childhood education

• Must successfully pass a Criminal Background Clearance

• Must pass a Health Screening and TB test before hire

• Must be an enthusiastic and energetic team player

• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

 

Job Rate:

$15.00 - $17.50 per hour based on education and experience
