Job Description

Job Title: Registrar - High School

Classification: IIC

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Work days: 213-work day calendar

Job Summary: The job of "Registrar - High School" is done for the purpose/s of maintaining student registration and withdrawal; maintaining grade records, providing clerical support to assigned personnel; communicating information to staff, parents, and other districts; and providing information and/or direction as may be requested.

Essential Job Functions:

* Oversees all enrollment and withdrawal procedures for the purpose of maintaining up to date student record information.
* Maintains student directory and class list information for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of student assignments, credit information, class placement, etc.
* Composes documents (e.g. correspondence, reports, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to school and district personnel, parents, students, and state officials, etc.
* Processes documents and materials (e.g. student transcripts, student records, progress reports, student grade reports, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties.
* Responds to inquiries of staff, the public, parents, students, and outside agencies for the purpose of providing information and/or direction as may be required

Other Job Functions:

* Attends meetings as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions
* Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities

Qualifications:

* Experience Required: Prior job-related experience.
* Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
* Skills to operate standard office equipment including use of basic computer applications, use English in both written and verbal form, use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation.
* Knowledge of rules and regulations related to assigned functions, statistical record keeping, standard office equipment.
* Abilities to sit for prolonged periods, work independently, understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Significant physical abilities include reaching/handling/manual dexterity, talking/hearing conversations, near visual acuity/visual accommodation.
* Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
* Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Oregon Fingerprint and Criminal Background Check clearance.

Bilcultural/Bilingual preferred

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day, 213-work days, prorarated on start date for 2019-20.
