Job Description

Resource 1 is seeking a JD Edwards Developer for a 6-month contract for hire with our client located in Downers Grove, IL.

The Senior Developer will be involved in solution design, development, and support of applications using JD Edwards. 60% full life cycle development and 40% support. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with cross-functional business and IT teams onsite and offshore in designing and delivering solutions for business needs. This job requires the ability to think creatively and understand complex and interconnected processes and systems.

Required skills and experience:

  • 5+ years' experience developing and implementing JD Edwards applications. This could be as little as 3 years for a junior person.
  • Experience designing solutions for complex problems
  • Strong business knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Financial and Distribution suites including Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, AR/AP, GL
  • Experience with business functions, master business functions and NER
  • Experience with EnterpriseOne tool set; interactive and batch applications including EnterpriseOne developer tools I & II, Designing Batch Applications, and Report Writer I & II
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne distributed architecture

Nice to have (in order of importance):

  • Big Plus- JD Edwards BSSV
  • Experience with BI Publisher
  • Experience with some Object Oriented Event Driven programming; C, C++, Java, JavaScript
  • Experience with RPG400, CL/400
  • Experience with Advanced Pricing and Advanced Transportation

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Build solutions (code, test, configure) based on business requirements
  • Provide application support and interface support for all JD Edwards applications
  • Own and lead application and system performance tuning activities
