Job Description:

Resource 1 is in need of a SharePoint Administrator/Developer for Chicago, IL. The client is open to either contract (+ extensions) or conversion to permanent. Individual must have at least 4+ years working as a SharePoint Administrator and have very solid verbal communication skills. Individual will work with the users to design and configure the existing SharePoint Intranet sites. This position will also involve application development/coding outside of SharePoint utilizing C#, ASP.NET and MVC.

Admin Responsibilities:

  • SharePoint 2010/2013 Server Farm Administration.
  • Apply updates, patches, backups and restores.
  • Install and patch Servers and databases according to vendor recommendations.
  • Monitor performance and take corrective action as needed.
  • Create and configure SharePoint Web applications, service applications, and site collections.
  • Define and enforce security rules at the farm and site collection levels.
  • Install and patch third-party tools and/or Web Parts.

Developer Responsibilities:

  • Experience in Software Design and Development, with expertise on Microsoft Technologies C#, ASP.NET and MVC.
  • Web site design skills, using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML and jQuery. Relational database experience is preferred, with MS SQL Server, Oracle and PL/SQL.
  • Experience in different phases of Software Development life cycle, as well as experience interacting with clients, business analysis and programming.
