Job Description

Resource 1 is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst for our client located in Rockford, IL. for a 6 month CFH opportunity. The ideal person should have experience providing frontline technical support for Microsoft Windows 7/8/10 desktops/laptops, mobile devices (iOS, Android), printers/scanners, and audio/video.

Position Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience providing end-user support for all hardware (desktop/laptop, smartphone devices (iOS, Android), printers/scanners, and audio/video), operating system, and software-related problems with Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office, and other business applications.
  • Basic network and server access problems for end users
  • Support/Troubleshoot WAN, VLAN, Firewall, VPN, etc. system issues
  • Respond to helpdesk calls and service tickets in a prompt, friendly and solution-oriented manner
  • Maintain accurate and useful documentation in our ConnectWise support tool
  • Image and deploy new computers and associated hardware as needed
  • Monitor and respond to antivirus and malware protection notifications and respond quickly and effectively to possible outbreaks
  • Escalate issues to senior helpdesk or network team members when appropriate
  • Support internally developed software suite.
  • Monitor Helpdesk system for inbound issues
  • Ensure all issues are logged and documented in the Helpdesk system
  • Quickly and professionally assess issues, and take steps to resolve
  • When resolution is complete, document cause and resolution then close Helpdesk incident
  • Escalate and refer unresolved issues to other team members or Level 2 when appropriate
  • Deal with various vendors (mobile, telecommunications, data etc.) and escalate issues to them directly

Education and Experience Required:

  • Technology degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years of proven success working with computer technology in a business environment.
