Who Are We Looking For:

ResMed is seeking a Systems Engineer to work with a talented support team in our Healthcare Informatics (HI) Application Support group. This entry level position will work with architecture, infrastructure and applications team to ensure efficient and secure operations ResMed's suite of applications. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of working in a highly collaborative environment to deliver high quality products and services that exceed customer expectations.



The responsibilities include requirements gathering, implementation support, coordination, documentation and systems engineering. This position requires both functional and technical skills in IT and Emerging Technologies.
Perform software installations, upgrades and patches to HI's Product Environments and layered software packages Perform daily/weekly/monthly maintenance duties for supported environments Problem Analysis (identifying abnormalities, etc.) and resolution, monitoring and documenting Maintain, monitor and analyze performance of network and software product components and make recommendations for improvement Work to automate management tasks, streamline processes, and improve reliability, uptime, efficiency, consistency and security throughout HI's Product Infrastructure Implements systems improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements In cooperation with the security, infrastructure and applications teams, conduct hardware/software audits of HI's Product Environments for compliance with established standards, policies, procedures and configuration guidelines Manage and maintain systems documentation Coordinate activities of internal and 3 rd party hosting and service providers Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications Take part in a 24x7x365 on-call support rotation for HI Production Infrastructures


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant discipline required Minimum of 2 years of systems administration experience Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server general systems management Strong knowledge of RedHat Enterprise Linux general systems management Experience working with RDBMS, primarily MS SQL General knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy General knowledge of IP networking technologies General knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies Intermediate scripting knowledge in areas of system task automation Strong analytical and problem solving skills Detailed and process oriented
Familiarity with Middleware products (ActiveMQ, Tibco, etc.) Familiarity with Java and/or .NET programming languages Familiarity with Microsoft Clustering technologies and configurations Familiarity with Splunk, AppDynamics, or other monitoring platforms Experience with Sensitive Data Environments (PCI, HIPAA, etc.) Medical device industry experience To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
