Senior Research Analyst Role at IMR Inc.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Customer support for syndicated research products including creating data tabulations and ad hoc reports, analysis and insight development
  • Ability to develop insights and create effective visualizations and stories from IMR's syndicated research and third-party data
  • Customer training and support on the use of IMR's proprietary analytical software
  • Provide input to syndicated product development and enhancements
  • Provide written insights and commentary to help simplify and explain market and product category trends
  • Sales Support including working with sales to update presentations with relevant insights to potential customers
  • Manage primary research projects from inception to conclusion
  • Support in design research methodologies and develop questionnaires based on client objectives
  • Support in development and delivery of primary research final results

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years market research experience, particularly on the supplier side; experience in CPG or automotive industry desirable.
  • Must have experience working with Scarborough, Neilsen or Claritas data (or similar data experience)
  • Proven command of MS Access/SQL and data visualization tools, deep knowledge of relational databases and MS Excel/PowerPoint. Understanding of SPSS a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - must be able to communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Capable of working in a dynamic environment, handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, prioritizing appropriately and responding to issues quickly and creatively with an open and positive attitude.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical/statistical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated and curious - must be extremely organized and detail oriented with an ability to make proactive recommendations; must exhibit a curiosity to uncover new and unique insights
  • BA/BS degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business or related analytical degree or experience; experience with clustering and/or predictive modelling a plus
  • Quarterly travel to customer sites and other occasional training/conference travel
