Job Description

Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is currently seeking a Network and Voice Vendor Management Lead for the voice and telecom systems. Candidate will provide oversight and support for the Global Telecommunication networks and inventories. Candidate will drive cost savings through consolidation of services. Candidate will work closely with procurement and engineering areas to research opportunities and evaluate services to improve financial and operational effectiveness. The role will also entail working closely with our vendors and compliance organization.


Interface with internal groups to include Sourcing/Procurement, Telecom Finance, Network Engineering groups and external consultants to assist in Telecom RFP contract negotiations and renewals.
Serves as a liaison between the internal/external business community and the IT organizations to include Network Engineering/Planning and Sourcing/Procurement in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
Assist in review of Telecom legal contracts and amendments for both terms and conditions and pricing/discounts.
Attend monthly major carriers business meetings/calls to review carrier spend and trends based on product.
Complete quarterly telecom vendor scorecards for Vendor Risk Management and oversee process for compliance and performs audit functions.
Gain understanding of network to provide direction and recommend upgrades or replacements with new technology based on costs and carrier decommissioning announced products.
Understanding of telecom access methods to include Local Exchange ( LEC), Competitive Local Exchange (CLEC), and fiber ring products used to provide diversity.
Ability to read carrier Customer Service Records ( CSRs ) and invoicing as needed.
Review and analyze telecom inventory, circuits no longer needed using carrier portals, monitoring tools, and confirmation from Network team and execute for decommissioning.
Assist and translate as required high-level, most complex business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization, manages changes to such specifications, and educates the IT organization on the direction of the business.
As required, collects information about the organization's work processes and information flows.
Execute on a day to day basis to fulfil organizational responsibilities, working with internal and external customers to ensure efficient execution of vendor management processes.
Performs additional job duties as required.
Leads complex business projects.

Provides coaching and mentoring to less experienced engineers.


8 years of related IT/Telecom experience.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and appropriate certificates.
Motivated/Self-starter to get the task completed.
Knowledge of the electronic payment industry group and the network infrastructure environments to support the delivery financial service applications.
Ability to act as a primary contact to external service providers and IT suppliers
Possesses an expert understanding of telecommunications technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business groups supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
