About the Java Software Engineer Position
Design, develop and deploy high-volume scalable web applications in Java Create algorithms to analyze Terabytes of data to enhance user experience Help refine our ROI and ad-matching algorithms to maximize profitability Participate in system design, architecture decisions and code reviews Work in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment Requirements:
2+ years' experience in Java and J2EE technologies in a business environment BS or MS in Computer Science or related field Understanding of object oriented design, design patterns, data structures and multithreaded algorithms Background in relational databases (MySQL preferred) Working knowledge of UNIX or Linux Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to think analytically Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with REST-based service-oriented architectures Experience with front-end web technologies like JSP, GWT, JQuery, Angular, CSS, HTML Worked in a paired programming and agile/scrum development environment Experience with Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven or Ant build scripts Selenium, JUnit, HtmlUnit, JMeter or other testing framework experience Experience with IntelliJ and/or Eclipse IDE Experience in data warehousing design and concepts Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Solr and Cassandra Exposure to online marketing, search engine optimization and lead generation Why work for Study.com?
