Job Description

Puget Sound Educational School District seeks a Technical Assistance Coordinator, Multilingual Services to support the Bilingual Instructional Assistant (BIA) program that serves children in our ECEAP, Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Early Learning. This TA Coordinator will participate in the organization and delivery of the BIA program, and other comprehensive early learning (birth-3) and preschool services, provide technical assistance and professional development to early learning subcontractors, promote the program within the community, and support the ongoing needs of participating children and families.

 

PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Associate’s Degree in related field and progressively responsible job-related experience may be equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree);
  • Professional experience supporting low-income and/or diverse young children and/or families in a birth-5 year old instructional setting.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)

  • Professional experience with group or staff training;
  • Experience in a leadership role (i.e. mentoring, coaching, supervising, parent involvement, etc.);
  • Knowledge of or experience with working with English language learners (ELL) and/or dual language learners (DLL);
  • Experience working with community organizations serving diverse populations;
  • Experience with word processing, database/spreadsheets (i.e. Microsoft Office);
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data for program improvement.

 

This is a school schedule position up to 40 hours/week for approximately 200 days/year (~1664 hours per year). Position based in Renton.  Salary: Approximately $46,437-$53,853/year. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity.
