Job Description

Support the Quality Control (QC) Chemistry Development department through the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of analytical test procedures. Interns will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of instrumentation to characterize and quantitate 1) small molecule impurities via LC-MS or GC-MS, 2) elemental impurities via ICP-MS, 3) protein attributes via LC-MS, FTIR, UV, or fluorescence. Interns may also be given the opportunity to work on projects to automate analytical test procedures or to automate data handling, including processing, reporting, or code items related to analytical sciences documents or projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Establish, develop, and/or optimize analytical methodology to test the identity, strength, purity, potency and stability of protein products, process impurities, or the identity and purity of raw materials (in-process and final).
* Develop and write protocols or technical documents based on the work performed.
* Present findings at group and interdepartmental meetings.
* Produce and maintain accurate records.

Education and Experience:

* Requires active pursuance of BS/BA/MS in Chemistry, Biology or related field
