We are currently seeking an experienced (minimum 5 years) Manager with strong communication skills and the ability to work virtually. This position will work out of Ohio or Michigan.

Job Summary

The PHSS Service Delivery Manager II is responsible for coordinating the effective delivery of all PHSS programming within assigned territory. This includes the management and fulfillment of community course offerings and contracted, full service training. This position is responsible for supervising and managing the performance of all PHSS service delivery paid and volunteer staff. This position manages and implements the capacity and deployment of the entire product line, quality assurance, resource optimization and adherence to all defined processes.

Responsibilities

* Course Management and Training: Manages the fulfillment of all community and full service training. Responsible to ensure the adherence to processes as they relate to course delivery including staffing, logistics and course curriculum standards.
* Supply Chain/Logistics: Manages all supply chain functions for inventory, warehousing and delivery in an assigned area. Responsible to manage partnership locations and contracts for course delivery sites.
* Training: Implements training, staff development and credentialing needs of all instructor resources to ensure provision of quality PHSS services. Provides guidance in the development of all training functions, i.e. recruiting, retaining and managing the instructor network. Ensures high quality training will be delivered and that delivery capacity meets sales demand. . Responsible for instructor adherence to training standards, i.e. hours per class, travel distance, etc.
* Volunteer Engagement: Responsible for ensuring volunteer engagement throughout the assigned territory.
* Quality Assurance: Responsible for applying quality assurance and control programs. Integrates quality improvement activities and measures in overall service provision of instructor resources. Ensures that the provision of PHSS services meets state and local government regulations and complies with American Red Cross policies and processes. Ensures that the proper risk management activities are in place to protect the organizations customers and staff participating in PHSS activities. Responsible for quality assurance and compliance of all internal and external instructors.
* Resource Management: Recommends investments in technology, capital, equipment systems or other assets that will improve the quality of the delivery of PHSS services. Responsible for efficient and effective use of resources, including personnel. Responsible for the management and projections of instructor capacity to meet variable demands of course volumes. Manages the appropriate ratio of full-time, part-time and part-time on call instructors. Ensures the implementation of annual Performance Plus Goals.
* Business Analytics: Analyzes and interprets data from operational reports. Uses reports to make business decisions related to staffing and program delivery that are fiscally responsible and in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
* Communications: Partners with and engages in regular communication with Chapter Leadership and appropriate staff regarding PHSS activities and assists in providing necessary information for philanthropic approaches for PHSS funding and stewardship reports (including United Way). Works with key stakeholders to develop service delivery plans and cost estimates for implementing PHSS activities in the territory.
* Grant Management: Participates in providing information necessary for philanthropic approaches for PHSS funding and stewardship reports to the same (including United Way). Works with key stakeholders to develop service delivery plans and cost estimates for implementing PHSS activities in the territory. Ensures all service delivery objectives for applicable grants are met.
* Personnel Management: Provides supervision to Training Specialist, Training Scheduling Coordinator, Logistic Coordinator and Administrative Coordinator. Minimum of 5 FTEs; typically 11 to 20 direct reports.
* Territory revenue: annual territory revenue greater than $4,000.000

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Marketing, Human Resources/Training, or similar discipline preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 year of experience in a quality assurance, logistics or training position. American Red Cross PHSS experience preferred. Work in education or service industry is a plus, but not required.

Management Experience: A minimum 3 years of supervisory management experience.

Skills and Abilities: Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects and motivate teams under tight deadlines. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. Basic computer skills and demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office programs.

Other: Must reside within the managed territory.

Travel: Ability to travel 30 - 50%. Must have reliable transportation for regional travel.
