Job Description

THE COMPANY:

Real Equity Management is a privately owned, design-build and full-service property management firm. REM's asset portfolio is centered around both commercial and residential real estate. Their primary focus, however, is in market-rate and student, apartment communities. REM currently oversees properties in Missouri, Oklahoma and Kentucky.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT POSITION:

Are you a self-starter that will take full ownership of assigned responsibilities? You will offer suggestions to assist with improvement in our department while taking direction from our Corporate Controller. You will be an important team player, in our fast paced, growing environment, welcoming the idea of advancement, by taking on additional responsibilities.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Cash reconciliation and management
* Job Cost Accounting
* Accounts Payable/Receivable/Customer Billing Inter-company billings
* Fixed Asset tracking/reconciliation
* General Ledger reconciliation and account analysis
* Financial Statement preparation for multiple entities
* Special projects

STAFF ACCOUNTANT REQUIREMENTS:

* 3+ years general accounting experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
* Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and Word.
* Sage/Timberline experience desired.
* Job cost experience/AIA billing/lien waiver tracking.
* Ability to learn other financial software.
* Excellent organizational skills and analytical abilities.
* Ability to work well in a collaborative environment
