Job Description

The Advanced Test Systems Engineering Center (ATSEC) is a newly formed organization within the Systems Test Directorate comprised of four departments and an engineering population of approximately 350+ people, and over $250M+/year of delivered products. The ATSEC organization has the responsibility to grow and sustain the Systems Engineering competencies throughout all test activities, and to make test more affordable, credible, agile, and robust.

Within ATSEC, the Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Department has the responsibility to provide, develop, and maintain engineering development stations that operate real-time and closed-loop with the weapon's hardware and software.

Description:
Entry level systems engineer for basic design, development and integration of electronic equipment, radar simulators, or systems-oriented products. The candidate will work with a variety of programs as an individual contributor to basic design and product development. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of problems applying basic principles, theories, and concepts, while working closely with team members. Ability to determine and develop an approach to solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.

Required Skills :

- Engineering course work with emphasis in RF propagation and antenna characterization

- Experience with test and measurement of RF signals (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer)

- Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as strong written/verbal communication skills

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

- Ability to obtain DoD issued Secret Clearance

Desired Skills:

- Familiar with basic lab test equipment, CAD, PSpice, Timing Designer and Mentor Graphics design tools

- Knowledge of a variety of RF architectures and components

- RF parts specification

- Schematic generation

- RF component integration

- RF chain analysis

Required Education:

- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in an Engineering field (Electrical, Computer, Software, Systems, Computer Science and other technical disciplines) from an ABET accredited curriculum with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Must have graduated in the past 18 months.

The Job Title for a Bachelor of Science degree is an Electrical Engineer I. The Job Title for a Master of Science degree is an Electrical Engineer II.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.
