University Programs: Systems Engineer II - Electronic Warfare

As a defense contractor, there are specific programs requiring a certain level of security clearance and special access for assigned staff. The selected candidate will be required to secure these accesses. Not being able to secure the Interim Secret Security Clearance needed for this position may result in an offer of employment being rescinded.

Job Description:
The candidate will support the development of system architectures, design & architect EA and /or ES systems, perform system analysis, design, requirements flow down & specification, interface design, concept & configuration refinement and effectiveness analysis for a broad range of EW applications. The candidate will also support programs for requirements definition through sell-off to customers & users at government run facilities.
Additionally, candidate will support operational effectiveness analysis of EA / ES systems & detailed analysis of complex signal & data processing sub-systems such as analog and digital receivers & waveform generators. Candidate may support activities such as characterization of system performance, planning and coordination of system/software deliveries, integration & testing of initial & updated system builds & support to installation of Raytheon products.

Required Skills:

Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is required (please upload transcripts when applying).

Graduating with a graduate degree in engineering (or related Technical field) no later than Summer 2016

Possess mechanical or electrical engineering area of expertise

The applicant must have experience and skill with data collection and analysis tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, or Mathematica as well as experience with computers for office tasks

Must be granted an interim Secret Security clearance PRIOR to starting

Desired Skills:

System level architecture & modeling experience in school

Requirements analysis & definition

Training or education in Systems Engineering process

Effective communication of project results in written reports and presentations

Experience and skill with requirements analysis tools, such as DOORS.

Other considerations relevant to working effectively in the Raytheon engineering environment include the ability to work independently without close supervision, to work well in teams, to communicate effectively both informally (e.g. conversation or email) and formally (e.g. reports or presentations), to work diligently, and to conduct oneself professionally and ethically.

Required Education (including Major):
Must have a MS from an ABET accredited university with a major in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering other related technical degree by Summer 2016 or have graduated 18 months prior to start date.
