Job Description

This is a temporary position of undetermined length.

The Global Positioning System Advanced Control Segment (GPS OCX) Raytheon team is responsible for full life cycle engineering on state of the art environmental, commercial, & sensing systems for government & commercial applications.

GPS OCX is seeking a talented engineer to join our integration and test team. The candidate must have experience & knowledge of integration, test or software development. The candidate will utilize operational concepts, requirements, & other specifications to develop test cases and test procedures. The candidate will execute test procedures and record results. The work will include development of a variety of, data sets, scripts, reports, & presentations.

The candidate will support a multi-disciplinary team & be required to interact with a wide range of program personnel, working both collaboratively with teammates & independently to achieve specific tasks. The candidate will provide status on assigned tasks & document reviews & resolves technical systems engineering & integration issues. Recent hands-on experience with test planning, test case/procedure development, and test execution is required. DOORs and Clearquest experience are desired. PERL/Python scripting experience is desired. EggPlant automation experience is desired. 2SOPs operational experience is desired

Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:

Develop and peer review test case design documentation
Develop and peer review test procedure implementation documentation
Identify EggPlant scripting opportunities
Perform test execution
Identify and capture software and hardware defects utilizing appropriate program processes.
Enthusiastic and energetic performer able to work in a dynamic, fast paced, & sometimes pressured environment
Team player incorporating a team based success philosophy
Contribute to the completion of program & project milestones under the specific guidance of his/her immediate supervisor
Working in a multi discipline environment
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment/ tasking direction

Required Skills:

Experience preparing and presenting reports and briefings both orally and written

2+ years of experience in the following:

Preparing test procedures

Conducting test procedures

Utilizing discrepancy report systems

Working within Integrated Product Teams

Must be willing to travel short term for business

Must be willing to work overtime and weekends

Must be willing to work rotating shift assignments (i.e. 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd )

Ability to obtain Secret level clearance
United States Citizen
Desired Skills:

Perl or Python programming experience
EggPlant Test Automation Experience
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related scientific discipline with minimum 2+ years of test experience or 10+ years of applicable test experience.
