Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has many exciting programs currently under development in the Global Intelligence Solutions (GIS) Mission Area.

The team is responsible for full life cycle engineering for government and commercial applications. Opportunities are primarily on classified programs that support the intelligence community. Capabilities include ground systems for GEOINT and SIGINT systems, large-scale data processing and exploitation storage architectures and high performance data handling and processing systems, missions and resource management, information management, visualization, knowledge discovery and advanced analytics. Position Description:

This position is for a Systems Infrastructure Engineer with technical and communication skills needed to support ongoing and emerging development and maintenance programs. The candidate will support all phases of system architecture including design, requirements implementation, testing and installations of large scale infrastructure environments. Interested candidates should be interested in many of the following components of large scale infrastructure systems: network (ethernet and fibre channel), storage (high speed and commodity), compute environments (high performance and commodity), virtualization, cloud computing, environment and enterprise management, cloud computing and COTS integration. Additional duties may include authoring, correcting and updating formal/technical documents, contributing to presentations, supporting design reviews and supporting customer requests for information. Candidates must be professional, self-starters and must exhibit possess a positive attitude. It is important that the candidates have a willingness to learn program/organizational processes and procedures and are willing to recommend improvements to both. The ideal candidate will have taken course work in basic systems engineering/system architecture design, theory and process and possess good oral and written
communication skills.

Required Experience:

Understands Architecture Design Concepts
Ability to work well in teams and communicate effectively both formally and informally
Engineering Design Tools knowledge and experience
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI)

Desired Experience:

Possesses a technical background in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology field
Laboratory or summer intern work experience participating in design, development or systems integration activities
Understands Computing Environments, COTS and Virtualization/Cloud technologies
Familiar with integration and test processes and tools (automation)
Familiar with Change Management process and tools
Understanding of COTS, H/W, firmware vendors and understanding of prime/sub contract relationships
Understanding of Security Information Assurance/Protection concepts and techniques
Understanding of Interface Control Definition (ICD) documents
Knowledge of requirements analysis, development, traceability, and verification
Experience with the following MS Office applications: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio

Required Education:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related Engineering field must have graduated with in 18 months.
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. (Please include your transcript with your resume)

This position requires the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement. Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.
