Job Description

This is a temporary position of undetermined length.

Job Description:
Candidate uses and applies extensive technical expertise with Ada software development for troubleshooting a network enabled weapon data link (i.e. Link-16) . Provides robust solutions to complex technical weapon data link issues as reported from field testing including flight test and integration lab testing. Ability to recreate field reported issues in lab environment for troubleshooting. Works as a self-starter. Follows and/or recommends changes to department processes and procedures. Reviews software products for soundness of technical judgment and adequacy. Interacts with senior software personnel through both written and verbal communication. Produces documentation related to the design and release of software artifacts. Supports development of advanced software ideas and influences the successful completion of supported programs and projects. Understands and utilizes agile software development methods, automation, and continuous integration. Must have an active DoD secret security clearance.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 8 years experience in an embedded real-time setting

Experience using Ada language

Experience with Link-16 Network

Experience with software, test development, and integration within a DoD environment

Experience using embedded RTOSs (e.g. VxWorks, Integrity)

Ability to work in a closed integration lab working on hardware

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Strong Team-player

Desired Skills:

Practical experience with guidance, navigation, sensing, tracking, and discriminating systems and associated algorithms is highly desired
